�����Dr. Light, Mega, and Proto Man stood in the huge �����laboratory. In the center of the room on an examination table, lay the Reploid. He was not activated yet, but was completely finished.

��"Wow!" Mega said, eyeing the Reploid, "Looks pretty good, huh Doc?"

���Dr. Light nodded and smiled. "He's perfect."

���Proto Man smirked and said, "Yeah, he looks alright, but I'm cuter."

���Mega and Dr. Light burst into laughter.

��"Let's go outside. He shouldn't activate for a while yet. I would like to get some fresh air." Dr. Light said.

�Mega and Proto agreed and the three walked out the door.

��"Ugh...." The Reploid mumbled. He sat up and took his first look at the world. He was in a large room with lots of equipment, and he lay on an examination table. He rubbed his eyes, and hopped down from the table.

�At that moment, Roll walked in, and said, "Hey guys, I made some cookies. Who wants som---"

�Upon seeing the Reploid standing in the lab, fully activated, she threw her plate of cookies into the air in surprise.

���The plate smashed into a million pieces on the floor, sending the cookies flying in all directions.

�The Reploid jumped backwards, and stared nervously at Roll. "W--Who are you?"

�Roll's mouth hung open as she stared at her 'new brother'. "Oh, don't be afraid of me! I'm....uh....good. I'm your sister. Stay RIGHT there! I'll be back!!"

��She ran outside where Proto, Mega, and Dr. Light were. Hey!" She said excitedly, "Guess what?! The Reploid's awa---"

��"Roll," Proto snapped, "I was TALKING! It's not nice to interrupt. Now siddown and wait your turn." He turned back to Dr. Light and started talking again.

�Roll growled and looked at Dr. Light. "Doc, he's activ---"

��"Quiet Roll."

��"AAHHH!!!" She screamed. "FINE!! I WON'T TELL YOU THE REPLOID IS ACTIVATED AND STANDING IN THE LAB!!!!"

���Dr. Light, Mega, and Proto stared open-mouthed at Roll, and ran back into the lab. In a minute, they stood in front of the newly-activated Reploid.

��"Hello!" Dr. Light said happily, "How do you feel?"

��"I'm alright..." The Reploid answered quietly.

�Proto Man ran toward him, and extended his hand. "Hieee!!! I'm your new big brother! And, uh, HE," he said, pointing to Mega Man, "is 'Shorty'."

��"Hey!" Mega yelled, "Jerk."

���Proto turned to Dr. Light and asked, "Umm...what's his name? How about we call him....Tigger....or Blueboy? How about Jennifer..."

�The Reploid's eyes grew wide. "Jennifer?"

�Dr. Light smiled. "Proto, I've picked out a name already, but, uh...thanks anyway. His name is Mega Man X."

"What type of stupid name is that!?!" Proto yelled, "X?! X? No one has the name 'X'. That's the dumbest name in the wor---"

��"I like it," X said.

��"What's wrong with that name?" Mega asked sweetly.

��"Oh shut up...." Proto mumbled.

���Dr. Light said, "X, we have quite a few things to discuss. Why don't we all go outside. And.....apologize to Roll."

�For two hours, they explained what it was like to live there at the lab, about Dr. Wily, and other things. When they had finished, Mega smiled and put his hand on X's shoulder. "Welcome to the family, brother."

�Proto gagged.

�Shade Man was taking a nap inside a bush, outside of Dr. Light's lab. He slowly opened his eyes and stretched. "I've been sitting here for the past two months.....without my CD player.....ah how I miss the sweet taste of blood..."

�Suddenly he heard the familiar voice of Proto Man say, "Let's go inside and see how good a Reploid is at Tetris!"

�Shade nearly jumped out of his armor in excitement. "YEAH! The Reploid is awake! I get to go HOME!" He thought. At once, Shade teleported back to Skull Castle, to tell Wily.
