"What was that?" Dr. Light asked himself, looking up from the television.

"Help! Help us! Ouch, get your elbow outta my back, Proto!"

Dr. Light looked around him, but saw no one. He scratched his head thoughtfully.

"Haaaaaaaaaaaaaalllp!!!"

"Roll, quit screaming in my ear!"

"Then get your ear away from my mouth! HAAAAAAAAAAAALLLPPP!!!!"

"ROLL? PROTO?" Dr. Light called, "WHERE ARE YOU?"

"Doc! We're down in the basement! Do you mind getting us out?"

Dr. Light, even at his age, was a very fast runner. He sprinted down the dark stairs of the basement, and clicked on a light. Roll and Proto Man lay at the bottom of the stairs. Dr. Light untied them and they all went into the living room. Once the two related what had happened with the Wily bots, Dr. Light was near tears.

"We have to get X back! They will ruin him! If he was ever corrupted...."

Mega Man swung open the front door and danced into the living room. "OOOOH! Hot blue robot here! I'm smmmookin'! You guys shoulda seen me! I wupped those Wily bots SO bad! So, did I miss anything while I was gone? Why is there a hole in the wall?

Roll and Proto shot each other a worried look.

At that moment, X burst through the door and collapsed on the floor.

"X!" Roll shreiked, as she ran over and gave him a huge hug.

Proto and Dr. Light chorused, "What happened?"

Mega Man tilted his head in confusion.

X finally stood up, and began to explain:

"I woke up....or was woken up...in Dr. Wily's lab. I got out of the castle very easily, and started heading home. An hour later, I was walking through that small desert outside of the city, and I noticed something kicking up alot of sand. I realized the Wily robots were following me on their hover bikes, so I---" X took a deep breath, and continued, "I started to run. I reached the city and managed to lose The Wily bots. Then I headed back here...."

Mega's eyes nearly popped out of his head. "X WAS AT SKULL CASTLE?!? How in the name of Zelda did he get there!? WHAT happened?!! AND WHY IS THERE A HOLE IN THE WALL!!!??"

X, Proto Man, and Roll couldn't help but laugh at the outburst, then they explained what happened.

Mega's face fell as he listened. "You mean I almost lost my new brother, and I didn't even know it?"

X smiled at Mega.

Proto grinned. "Well, X is okay now! Let's celebrate! I'll turn on MTV!!!" he ran over to the large television and flipped through the channels until he came to MTV. "Ooh, Lookie! My favorite video is on!!!" He yelled excitedly, and started doing a wild dance and singing along with the song, 'Bitch'.

"I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint, I do not feel ashamed!!!"

X and Dr. Light stared at Proto who was flapping his arms and kicking his legs in a 'dance'.

"What is HIS problem?" Mega piped up, "It looks like he has a brain malfunction, Dr. Light. We'll have to operate..." he watched his brother dance around the room like an idiot.

"I'm you hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothin' in between! You know you wouldn't want it any other way!!!!!!" Proto sang in an ear-piercing scream.

"Oh, someone shut him up..." Dr. Light moaned.

Mega Man agreed someone should shut up his half-wit brother. He picked up one of Dr. Light's shoes and threw it at Proto Man. The shoe hit him in the head with a loud 'Clank'.

"Hey!!" Proto yelled, rubbing his head, "Oooh, Mega, you are SO DEAD!!!" he playfully lunged at his brother.

X and Roll couldn't help laughing at the play-wrestling match between Mega and Proto.

With a series of quick movements, Proto Man had pinned Mega to the ground. He stood up and boasted, "HA! I have defeated the all-powerful Mega Man!!!" Proto started to walk away, but Mega tripped him, making his brother fall and land flat on his face. Proto growled at Mega, who ran and hid behind X.

"Hey!" X said, "Don't drag ME into this!!"

Proto decided not to go after Mega while he had a powerful Reploid guard with him. "Don't worry, Mega! Heeheehee! I'll get you later!" he yelled, trying unsuccessfully to sound evil and threatening.

Dr. Light spoke up, "Well, I think I'll go upstairs and rest. I have a lot of work to do later on that time capsule for X. Good night....and....don't kill each other." he shot Mega and Proto a look.

The robots grinned happily.

"You let him get away!! YOU IDIOTS!! HE ESCAPED!!! Wily yelled, jumping up and down, waving his arms hysterically.

The Wily robots shrank back and trembled. They looked like small children being scolded by Daddy.

"W--Well Dr. Wily sir," Spring Man spoke in a near whisper, "We WOULD have caught X. But, eh, we were playing a game."

Dr. Wily's eyes narrowed. "Oh, I see. A GAME. Springy, come into my lab later and I'll give you a special upgrade."

Spring Man's face turned to a stupid smile. "Y--You mean your not angry, and you have a special upgrade just for ME?"

Wily answered with a big smirk on his face, "YES! A VERY NICE UPGRADE!"

Spring Man got very excited and started bouncing up and down.

Wily walked toward his lab, mumbling. "It will be nice not to hear that idiot's voice for a while..."

Bass stepped out the door of his room as Wily was walking by.

"Hey, Doc! Watcha up to? Isn't it past your bedtime?" he grinned.

The already angry Dr. Wily gave Bass a well-placed kick. "I am going to work on my Reploid now. BYE!" With a smirk, the old man walked away.

Bass glared after him. "Senile old geezer......."
